Ric R. Castro, a native Chamorro, was born and raised on the island of Guam. He is currently a tenured Professor of art at the University of Guam, receiving his Master of Fine Arts and Four-Year Certificate in painting and printmaking from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, the oldest art school and museum in the nation.
